The oarfish is the longest bony fish in the world (Whale shark is bigger, but made of cartilage).  We thought
is was weird enough to show people. 

In 1808 a 52-foot Oarfish washed up on the shores of Scotland.  Some think that this was the origin of the Loch Ness Monster.

This Oarfish, below, was found washed up on the shore of Guam, I think, and found by U.S. Navy soldiers.
