Most are pretty good.  We also recently went to Cranberry Wilderness, WV in Summer 2003. We have pictures of that, too. More to come.

West Rim Trail 2001

5Campers1.jpg (209908 bytes) Halfway through, we ran upon someone to take a pic of all of us.

trail-ferns1.jpg (236790 bytes)This is a break in the trail, a fireline.  45 degree angle.

killer_ledge1.jpg (78584 bytes)   This is a killer outcropping.  It goes all the way down.  Left of their shoes you can see the road.  This drop was sickening.  S wouldn't let go of the tree.

1campsite1.jpg (199864 bytes) Our first morning and our first campsite.  Right past the tents is an overlook that views the entire Loyalsock Gorge, with us right smack in the middle.

4_of_us1.jpg (133746 bytes) This is the overlook mentioned in the previous caption, along with J, S, R, and E.  This is sundown the 1st day.

1campsite2.jpg (210910 bytes) What's left of campsite#2.  We're all ready to get going, beat up some boy scouts on the 3rd day..

GroupNight2-1.jpg (83575 bytes) Night #2 - and these fools on the left have put an entire damn tree in the campfire, as you can see.  One of them is a fireman, too.

R_path1.jpg (160430 bytes) A nice view of a typical wooded area along the trail.  R is posing.

PineView1.jpg (180320 bytes) This is a part of the trail that went through an old-growth pine forest.  Pretty cool.

R-E-S-ledge1.jpg (237254 bytes) Another ledge, where we wanted to camp the 1st night, but it didn't have a nearby water source.  Too bad, it was a great view, and a greater cliff.
